CarSpecialist is the software brand of Investor Cars & Auto Salvage ("we," "us," "our") in Little Rock, Arkansas. This page describes the privacy practices shared across CarSpecialist apps.
CarSpecialist apps are business tools. We collect the information needed to operate the app you are using, and nothing beyond that. We do not sell your data, and we do not rent, trade, or share your personal or business data with anyone for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes. Our apps do not contain third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Account information: your name, email address, and the shop your account belongs to.
Business data: the records, files, and images you enter into the app. What this consists of depends on the app — see that app's policy for specifics.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, or analytics telemetry.
Accounts belong to a shop, and records are scoped to that shop. Members of one shop cannot access another shop's records.
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in readable form. Sessions are maintained server-side and expire. Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Administrative access to our servers is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We share data only where required to operate a feature you use (each app's policy names any such third party), where required by law or valid legal process, or in connection with a sale or merger of our business, in which case the successor remains bound by this policy.
We retain your data while your account is active. CarSpecialist apps provide in-app account deletion under Settings → Delete account, confirmed with your account password. You may alternatively email support@investorcars.com from the address on your account and we will delete your account and associated data. See your app's policy for exactly what is removed.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request its deletion. Email support@investorcars.com. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
CarSpecialist apps are business tools intended for use by employees and operators of auto businesses. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
